Ah...yes, moving on to the SCGS vs Cat High Debate...

I...lost my notes...

Oh damn...wait. Its just in front of me goddammit (no offence to all the Christians)!

Ok...so...here's what I got to offer.

Nothing much, I was too lazy to tak down notes for the 2nd Opp, 3rd Prop and 3rd Opp. By the way, SCGS is Prop, and Opp is Cat High (naturally). Uh...the motion is THBT (This House Believes That, for the non-debaters) the war on terror has been counter productive.

Uh...simply, SCGS won, unlike what my seniors had previously thought. Yeah...

Oh yes, something very interesting. I was tabulating the 3rd Prop's speech, and guess what? Ok...not speech, but hey...anyways, as I was saying, guess what?

HE SAID LADIES AND GENTLEMEN FOR 52 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok...that was lame...but I was kinda bored with Cat High's speech. All they were brooding about was the paradime (is that how you spell it?) shift...BORING...

Ah yes...congrats to that Susannah Wang though...best overall speaker and best speaker during the finals...

Regards,
Woon Wei

Before I start, I would like to say something: RI sucks; big time.

Why? Let me have the honour of providing you with the reason.

Well, today, I was at NYGH (before your imagination brings you to fantasize, let me bring you back) to watch the grand finals for the Julia Gabriels Debating Competition for Secondary Schools 2007 (ah yes...the anti-climax...).

Mm-hmm, anyways, allow me to continue. So, there was, watching the titanic (if i may) struggle between MGS and RI.

Yes, you didn't hear me wrong. MGS vs RI. Who would win, when you get the queen of debate (soon not to be) against the king of debate (which is just a fallacy)? Of course, RI, being the 'reputable' school of perfect English speakers, would most likely win, correct me if I am wrong. But that's not the point, no digressing this time...

Moving on...yes, these two schools tugged, pulled, shoved, stabbed, hurled at each other words of intensity, refute, substantiation so on and so forth. It was practically a war of words as we, as the audience, sat back and watched the pandemonium unfold slowly, but surely.

However, the best part came during the third proposition (MGS, by the way) and the reply (also the proposition) speech. I am sure most of you know, HCI and RI ain't exactly the best of friends, so when the third proposition speaker, Selena Wee (I am not really sure of her name...) said something that went like this, "RI's selfish exclusionary view of sports...". Immediatley after that, a cheer from the MGS girls came in waves, applauding her for her act of bravado. HCI people didn't really cheer or anything, but I know that I was laughing inside.

Then, in the repy speech, guess what the reply speaker (which is also the second speaker, aka Beulah something, don't remember her surname) called RI? Three guesses...fine. Never mind. She called them: BLOSSOM, BUBBLES AND BUTTERCUP!!! Now, what do you think of that? Of course the whole auditorium roared with laughter. After that,I really don't remember much about the rest of the speech. But I DO know that GS came in 3rd (YAY!:D) and RI came in fourth.

The first and second are as follows:
1st=>SCGS (The new queens)
2nd=> Cat High

I will continue about the first and second in my next post.

Night people,
Woon Wei

Hmm...I'm starting to notice atrend in my life here...

Firstly, I got 2nd for ANGLES.

Then, i got 2nd for 3NGLES.

If that wasn't enough, I got 2nd for a test in my tution centre.

And my lucky day was supposedly 2nd of February this year.

...

...

Get it?

Ok...to simplify, 2nd=ANGLES, 2nd=3NGLES, 2nd=tution class test, 2nd=Lucky day (2/2)

Weird...I'm starting to sound like the guy in number 23...uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Whatever. See you around.

P.S. 6/2 PEOPLE!!! ANSWER CLASS BLOG VOTE!!!

P.S.2 3NGLES PEOPLE, THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL TIME!:) GO OUT SOME TME?

This is just to irritate eric.

Remember this post?:

Hey people.

In view of something that I have heard from a certain someone whose confounded name is Eric ...and I am sure it is 'credible'...taking that he lies on these matters...

So...the CCHMS people do NOT want to be in 6/2 anymore huh?

Ok...not a problem. Whoever, I need a list of people from CCHMS that does not want to be in 6/2, class of 2006 (excluding Jun Yan...I think...according to what the CERTAIN someone said...he's quite active).
I'll strike off their names on the class blog.

The rest who wants to go, please tag on my tagboard ASAP when during the first week of June hols you want it.

Thanks people!

P.S. I just edited it

I can't believe it.

No...I can...I think.

Projects Day was yesterday.

After a presentation, judges will most of the time grill the pupils saying how good/bad/this thing works etc etc.

But my group...NOTHING!!!!

Sheesh...is that a good sign at all?

I seriously don't know...
