Just got back from Debate Chalet at around 5 hours ago (if it still shows Wednesday...if not, 1 day). And damn it was fun. Since, I've never done this before, I shall now try to recount all the events one at a time, day by day.

Day 1:

We checked into Aloha Loyang Bungalow 15 (Oriole) at around 3pm. As not many people were there yet (5 Sec 1s, 1 Sec 2 & 1 or 2 Sec 3...correct me if I'm wrong + Mr Quek), Mr Quek lent us his Xbox 360 so that we could spam the games, which were DOA 4 and a racing game (which was what he brought for anyway). So, we spammed DOA Story Mode with Eliot, then Ryu, Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, Tina, Bass, Brad Wong, and others (we finished every character's story mode at least twice by the second day). After that, when everyone was here, we continued spamming Xbox! :p

Then, we had Mac for dinner...

Yi Chen and I spammed badminton (2 vs 1) against Chuan Yi...and the Sec 1s spammed Monopoly, GoFish, Monkey, Black Jack, Tai Ti (is that how you spell it?!) and Uno H2O! After a while, we started betting money as well - Monopoly money (what an anti-climax)! Then, we ordered Mac for supper (not me lah) and finally slept at 4am (Day 2).

Day 2:

We woke up at 7 or 8 am.

Then, 15 minutes later, BREAKFAST FROM MAC came. Yes, Mac, AGAIN. And the stuff are all COLD AND GRUBBY! Eww...

Then, Yi Chen and I spammed badminton against Chuan Yi (again), Glendon, Darion (doubles) and Jerrold. After that, we watched Edward spam DOA 4 (he got addicted...sigh) using Kasumi and only Kasumi. But bloody hell, he defeated Alpha 152 in only 1 try!

We had pizza for lunch (see how unhealthy we are) after making a futile trip to Escape (see Li Ki?!...it was closed) and watching Max, Cheng Aik, Shaun and Jerold play football against the 2N people (who were also there...Mr Quek's a genius...2 chalets at once).

I should have taken 2 pieces of beef and one hawaiian...but I took 2 hawaiian and 1 beef...dammit! And we could only take 3 yeah (but Cheng Aik took 6?!).

We continued spamming DOA 4...until around 5 plus, where the barbercue stuf came. Cheng Aik went to prepare the stuff, and soon, the barbercue was in full swing...until 8 plus, and it ended. Soccer was played, and after it ended, Yi Chen and I went for badminton against Zi Cong and Kah How. After which, I went for this 'IQ Test' and 'passed with flying colours'. You really don't want to know. We then played charades!

It was fun...I gave Li Ki America's Next Top Model and you should have seen it! The way he cat walk was damn hilarious! And there was Lust, Caution by Max which I guessed...'cos of the humping move (LOL!)...never mind.

Then, the Exco and Zi Cong went to watch Die Hard 4.0, which we, the [call us anti-scoial. We don't give a damn] Sec 1s, went to play Risk! Then somewhere around 11.50, we went over to 'watch' Die Hard 4.0...which brings us to the next day.

Day 3:

12:00:00 ----- Kah How's BIRTHDAY!

Yeah, we celebrated it in the Exco Room, and then we Sec 1s left again to continue Risk. After Risk, we played Uno, Black Jack and stuff. We promised to play Risk at 3, but clearly we conked out then. But before that, we ordered Mac for supper and helped such an insignificant amount that it actually shouldn't be counted: we ave 2 obvious Prop Points to Li Ki and Max for their Arena Auditions Round 2 Motion (etsaw a era sesuac laicos rof strecnoC).

As I was saying, we conked out @ 3, and our Mac stuff came @ 4. Since we were conked out, our stuff were not eaten at all...and let's take a look --> if it takes only 15 min to make Mac food cold and grubby, what about hours (we woke up @ 9)?!
Fine, we heated it up with the microwave (thank Benjy for that!) and yayers, that's our breakfast (coupled with cake from Kah How's b-day)!
Then, we just packed up, and waited for the stupid inspector (who charged us for a lost plate, a spoilt scissors that we never used, among other stuff) and went home!

Wow...first time I did this...
Anyway...here's a song from 郭美美's new album 我的答铃: 爱情女神. It's damn nice. I'll post the lyrics next time...

I hate school. Well, at least for now, until my anger at HonCW fades.
Look. We came to HCI 'cos of the facilities, EP3, different teaching methodology and most importantly, the Special Programmes (e.g. HP, SMRP etc.) that they offer, right?
Well, folks, this ain't going to happen, at least for next year if HonCW's new plan for the school is accepted by the Board.

Why? Let's see...

1. You will need an MSG of 1.5 and below to QUALIFY for the SELECTION TEST to get into the ONLY special programme there is in Secondary 3
2. All special programmes (HP, SMRP, BCP, etc.) will be MERGED into a giant thing called Centre for Scholastic Excellence.
3. There are no classes in CSE, only a homeroom and we don't know what that means either.

What the hell?! And if that's not enough, here's 'Clauses' 4 and 5:

4. You will spend 6 months outside in Secondary 3. Basically you won't go home for 6 months. Oh no, you will be in Beijing, in a boarding school.
5. Projects Day and this "China studies in chinese" will count for your MSG in Secondary 3.

Can you believe it?!
I was so angry, I made a poem to *ahem ahem* condemn this new plan...

A Plan Condemned

We came in full of hopes
We came in full of aspirations
This dream of ours was for us to keep
Yet, this dream of ours, was destroyed by you.

YOU were the one that promised us the dreams
YOU were the one that impressed us with the supposed programmes
But this year, YOU decided that we were to become elitists
No, not elite people, but elitists.

No one [whose MSG is] below 1.5 would qualify for the selection test
The Special Programmes would be lumped into a Centre for Scholastic Excellence
Where did they go?
Where is the promise that you established with us...?

We had trsusted you
And that homeroom that your plan had
Was nothing but sheer nonsense and logic-defying
And only 8 IP classes?!

Seriously, do not think that we would buy that
Especially excelling in EP3
Spending 6 months outside of home
With the bulk in Beijing!

Will we have time to prepare for competitions?
NO!
Will we be able to win the competitions that YOU hold on so dear to
To keep up the reputation of the school?

NO!
So, we need a new motto
No more will it be win-win
Nor 自强不息
No, it's the elitists of society

A generation of elitists that transcends time
YOUR name shall be recorded in the books
If that was what you wanted
As the crappiest person ever

Since the merger in 2005
And the IP
Your contributions weren't much
But that doesn't matter!

Are you too blind to see?!
Who is the one that launched the Consortium System?
Who is the one that rose from a mere Physics teacher to a Principal?
Who is the one that owns The Hon Page?!

So, I [we] beseech you
Do not let our dream fly away
Lest we all become the elitists
The ones that are northing but snobs

For as elitists always say,
"Go away, from my cold elite face."

That felt good.
Hope that sufficed and made up for that superficial and lacklustre attempt to revive my blog posting.

See you...on Wednesday (since I only return from DEBATE CHALET [:D] on Wednesday)!
Till then, :D

Hey people! I know I haven't been posting for a while, and I'm SORRY!!!

Nevertheless...let's just get down to the point: my current craze:

And it's this! Digimon World Dusk! Let's look at 2/3 of my actual team!
This is Crescemon, which is 1/3 of my actual team. Mine stands @ Level 39, and it's on it way to...:

Dianamon, the Mega form of Lunamon alias Rookie form of Crescemon.

Next, MachGaogamon. It's Level 37, and about to digivolve into:

MirageGaogamon! This is the Mega form of Gaomon (Rookie Form)!

All right, I'll make your time worth in my next post...meanwhile, make do with this please ;)

Eyes are the window to one's soul...

Lazy to post nowadays, 'cos nothing real spectacular has happened in my life lately.
Anyway, replying to a tag first:

Rules: Each blogger must post these rules first.
Each blogger starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their 8 things and post these rules.
At the end of your blog, you need to choose 8 people to get tagged and list their names.
Don't forget to leave a comment telling them they're tagged and to read your blog.

1) I'm fat. VERY fat. I want to slim down...is down a redundancy?
2) I'm in debate, and am proud of it. Correction, VERY PROUD. XD
3) I like black. Black is my favourite colour. I think black is cool. Black is supposedly the coolest colour.
4) I have a resolution to improve my GK by 40% by the end of this year (2007) and Debating skills too.
5) I like to bite my nails when I think.
6) I'm in ProEd Council and just missed my first task! XD
7) I like Literature a lot. Shouldn't be hard to figure that out.
8) I used to like the number 4872. Now it's 5 (the number of grace)! :D

So, the next part of my post:
Some of you may have heard it, but I'm just going to do it anyway.
If you're in a party and:

1) you walk up to a girl and say, "I'm rich. Marry me."
That is called MARKETING.

2) you walk up to a girl, give her your phone number and go home and call her, saying, "I'm rich. Marry me."
That is called TELEMARKETING.

3) a girl walks up to you and says, "You're rich. Marry me."
That is called BRAND RECOGNITION.

4) you walk up to a girl and say, "I'm rich. Marry me." The girl then slaps you.
That is called CUSTOMER FEEDBACK.

I don't know about you but that's hilarious.

Who picks you up when you fall?

Had this inspiration that just won't rid itself from my head, so I decided to pen it down. Will share it later.
I changed blogskin, the last one looked a little too *ahem ahem* despo. This one looked a little better.
And the music...'cos imeem doesn't have any smaller scale music playlist thingums, I had to use iwebmusic. Sorry.
And oh yes. Debate is FINALLY going to start again!
Can't wait for next year (wanna see if any ProEd Sec 1s get into Debate), Friday (ProEd Nite!) and Saturday (Debate training...hur hur hur)
So, moving back to the crux of this post, my inspiration. I present to you: lies.
Fine, maybe not today, I'm a little too tired to type it out.
You can't blame me. I was spamming Halo 2 (and losing terribly...I don't know how to play that thing!) and Soul Calibur II (pwned this...well, most of the time) at Delvin's house.
And since I pwned most of Soul Calibur II, I might as well talk about it.

Well, for VS Team Battle, I would usually choose these few (for team of 8):
1) Taki*
2) Ivy*
3) Spawn*
4) Kilik
5) Xianghua
5) Talim*
6) Nightmare*
7) Voldo*
8) Raphael*
9) Necrid*

You see those with the *? I would most probably use this team most of the time.

As for VS Battle:
1) Taki or
2) Ivy or
3) Xianghua or
4) Talim or
5) Nightmare or
6) Spawn or
7) Necrid or
8) Voldo or
9) Raphael

It's practically the same team! *sweatdrops*
Fine. I wanna go watch some VeohTV. See you guys.

Good luck for EOYs (as in get your desired results)!

Ignorance is bliss...

HOLIDAY CAMP 2007
The Debate Association (Singapore) is pleased to announce that we will be organizing a Holiday Camp from 13 – 16 December 2007 during the upcoming December school vacation. A separate letter will be sent confirming the camp’s venue.

The camp will be targeted at secondary school students at beginner and intermediate debate levels. Students at these levels typically have at least a basic familiarity with the rules and format of secondary school debating and might have watched or taken part in some debates, but not extensively. The camp will focus on equipping students with the fundamental skills for competitive debating by:

Developing debaters’ awareness of current local, regional and global issues.
Reinforcing debaters’ argumentative, public speaking and thinking skills;
Enriching young debaters through interaction with former national and international speakers who can be role models for their younger counterparts;
Allowing young debaters to network with like-minded students, and cultivate a strong debating fraternity within their age group;

This year’s camp will emphasize active participation by students. As such the camp will include a wide range of debate activities designed so that students are encouraged to contribute opinions and take part in an exciting exchange of ideas –while learning to speak and hold their own in a competitive debate context. Students can expect the following features from this year’s Holiday Camp:

Workshops and hands-on sessions where students will simulate a range of debate environments and practice their debating skills. These include debates in the World Schools Debate format (used by secondary schools and JCs in Singapore), an ASEAN mock session and a British Parliamentary session. All sessions will focus on the use and refinement of competitive debate skills such as articulating policy proposals, utilizing effective rebuttal technique, Point of Information strategies, developing good public speaking styles and the effective use of examples.
Seminars on basic debate skills of Style, Content and Strategy, as well as on a variety of global issues and current affairs subjects by speakers and practitioners in related fields.
Thorough and Detailed Feedback from experienced coaches and debaters who will be judging and providing comments and tips after each debate session.
A public exhibition debate on 16 December, where debaters can further refine their competitive skills. Debaters may invite their parents and families to this Finale event.

Who's going...?
Apart from Edward and me, I dunno....:)

Life is a road.

Week 6...I think I will also name it D Week.
Yeah, last week was D Week as well, but hey, here's the difference:
Week 5 => Exam Week => D Week => Destruction Week
Week 6 => Post Marking/Paper Checking Week => D Week => Death Week

Get the difference?
No?
Never mind. Don't. Not going to do you any good in the first place.

Say, anyone has a poem idea?
Fine. I'll continue this later. Ellen Show first!

___________________________________________________________________

I'm back, and still have no idea what to write for a poem.
Really, the stupid writer's block is back again.
Ah shucks, since I'm already going to the library later to spam read, what the hell.
Perhaps I'll get an inspiration there!

Well...see ya!

It's not smooth all the time. It may be bumpy. But you still get to the end...in the end.

Redemption does not come from the mind, but from the heart.

Went to Vivo with my mum today. Honestly, I was quite peeved.

THERE WAS A BLOODY HP TABLET PC ON SALE FOR $1499 AND I COULDN'T GET IT!

Reason?
You already have one.

Seriously, IT DOESN'T MATTER. THERE'S SOMETHING CALLED TRADE IN!

Ah well...

Your Power Bird is an Eagle

You are spiritual and able to soar to great heights.
You are a true inspiration, and many people look to you for guidance.
And you are quite demanding in relationships... but you're worth it.
People know that you will become even greater than you imagine.

You Were a Peacock

You carry yourself with beauty, dignity, and confidence.
You are able to see the past, present, and future with clarity.

You are 73% Capricorn

This was inspired by a Chinese song that I had really fallen in love with: 依然是朋友.
Hopefully, this truly expresses how I feel. Then again, I'm not those kind who expresses themselves best with words.
Nevertheless, it's written for well...someone. Yeah, if you're the guy I talked to just now, you should know who I'm talking about.
Maybe she'll get it when she reads this.

Still Friends

Regardless of my feelings, it'll never be returned anyway...
The day before Valentine's
You two broke up.
Your heart was weak
Fragile, broken.

I couldn't tell you how upset I was when I saw you in that state - no one deserved it, especially the likes of you...
You asked me out
And you cried on my shoulders
I wrapped my arms around you
And just enjoyed the bliss of the feeling - I may not feel it again...

Yet, you never realised. Realised how much you meant to me. More than friends, we're like brothers and sisters...
After that, you left.
I never saw you again
Until that day, when I went to the cafe
The one that we loved to go to

Only then, did I realise that I actually had feelings for you...
At that moment
I finally realised that I had feelings for you.
But you never knew
And I never said it

Worst of all, not once did you spare a glance at me...
You looked so happy...
So happy, with him
As he fed you some fries
And drank from the same cup

We're just friends...normal friends in your eyes...
I got up
And left, though my drink wasn't there yet
I walked away - quickly, speedily
And no one was there to see my tears fall

Now I realise that you treat me as a friend only...
I respect that...and even though mine is an unrequited love,
We'll still be friends...
The tears fell
Faster, Quicker
You weren't here - the time I needed you most
'Cos in your eyes...we're just friends...

Sometimes I wonder if it is really nice of me to be giving people false hope.
I mean, sometimes it motivates them, and sometimes it just kills them on the inside.
Dang, it realy makes me feel like digging a hole into the ground, going into that bloody hole, and not coming up anymore.
Someone tell me what I should do.
Please...?

Alright, time for the EOYS 2007 CLOSURE post!

But then again, what should I post...?
A poem...?
A prose...?
Or even some Blogthings?
I don't know, seriously.
Maybe I'll just change the blogskin...AGAIN.
Yeah, I think I'll do that.
With a poem, once I get rid of that idiotic writer's block from my mind.
Alright...sigh...not including today, there is a total of 7 more days to ProEd Nite.
And...14 more to 26th October. I can't take it. WHEN CAN WE HAVE THE BLOODY HOLIDAY?!
Alright alright...time to find a blogskin. See you guys...

AND OH YEAH! I GOT INTO PROED COUNCIL 2008!
Thanks to all the people who voted for me!

At the end of the day, I just can't do anything.
It's just me. I give people false hope...in hopes that they would feel better.
Maybe I'll just be frank from now on...yeah.
That'll work...

title: Minding My Maps
time: 5:40 PM

Sigh...I can't believe I stooped this low, but hey, it's a start.

I finally found a way of which I can mug [read: making mindmaps]!

Yup, no kidding. I'm currently making mindmaps for subjects that I'm going for in EOYs. But honestly, I can only do for:
1) Science (which I'm doing)
2) History
3) Geography

Maths and Chinese...I'm not sure how. Someone teach me?
And oh yeah, I bought (rather, I pleaded my mum to buy) a live worship album that New Creation came up with: I See Grace. In no less than 3h effectively after I've bought th album, it's on my desktop, laptop and MP3.
I especially love the song Shalom O Israel. If you've heard it, you'll say that too. Damn it's good.
In You I Live & I See Grace is good too...I'm babbling...

I'm also watching Ellen Degeneres now. It's funny. Really.
Babbling...not good.

Ah well...I'll just put the lyrics of Rejoice O Israel here, which makes me wonder, how many of you actually read my posts...? Ah well, anyway, the lyrics:

I behold a city on a wall
A nation torn by war
But in that place Adonai says
His grace has been poured forth

I behold a people who
Are waiting for their Lord
For he will come with trumpet sounds
As nations watch in awe

Shalom Jerusalem
Messiah will come
He'll wipe away your tears and pain
Rejoice, daughter of Zion
Shalom Jerusalem
Peace be within your walls
Yeshua will return to reign
In majesty and pow'r

When we see that Son of God
Descending from the clouds
He'll be arrayed in light
Shining glorious and bright
On you, Jerusalem

He'll wipe away your tears and pain
Rejoice O Israel

Touching, isn't it? This was sung when some Israeli visitors some time back came to visit NCC (New Creation Church lah). Dam touching, even though I'm the one saying it :)

Happy mugging for EOYs guys (and gals)!
