Ah well...looks like Golden Compass isn't as spectacular as I'd expected. They cut out so many scenes from the book that I'm not even sure I'm watching the correct movie.

Fine. Granted the fighting scenes were great. Fine. Granted Nicole Kidman's sex appeal is of a superb quality. Fine. Granted that the acting was quite cool. Fine. Granted that the daemons are like totally cool. Fine. Granted that Iorek Bryinson is damn awesome.

But does that warrant scenes to be cut from the book in the movie?!
Nevertheless, you have to admit, it's pretty cool.

Ah...I'm over-reacting.
