title:
Hmm...maybe I should take a step back from my usual style of posting, and do a little reflection for the year, which most probably will end up with the same style anyway. Habits are diehard. Damn.
Friend of the Year: God this is hard to decide. There are so many good friends out there, but hey, if I got to choose one, here's the person: Eric. Let's just cut to the chase. We've known each other for around 5 years now - since Primary 3. Undoubtedly, the friendship's real strong. Granted that he can be a little irritating at times, but hey, he's still here and stuck by my side through thick and thin. Go figure...damn.
Song of the Year: Let's just clarify one thing: Predominantly, I listen to Chinese songs, but I hate Chinese. Settled? Good. So, moving on (see, I told you I would revert to the old posting style. Damn.), I have 2 songs in mind, 'cos I can't decide: F.I.R's 月牙弯 Angela 张韶涵''s 不想懂得 So, if you don't listen to that many Chinese songs, fine. But they're real good. Darn.
Movie of the Year: Still haven't watched Enchanted, but I think the decision is made ether ways: HERO. Not spoiling too much, just watch it. Inspiring if you want to be a lawyer in the future. That also makes you think about whether the law is truly as upright as you think, and whether prosecutors are in fact that irritating. With a good twist to it, that's got to be the movie of the year. ___________________________________________________________________
Well, now that it's over, let's rejoice and...mourn. Rejoice that Programmes Proposal 2.2 will pass through as Sec One Orientation programmes...OFFICIALLY! After hard work put in by the Programmes Team, it's finally paid off! And mourn...'cos we lost to RI in VJCs by a 5-2 split. Though I wasn't there to watch (as I was at the last minute SOO meeting, where Prog Proposal 2.1 was only at most 10% slammed...therefore 2.2 is confirmed)...but ah shucks. There's a poem I want to post, but next time then... So, let's do a music quiz!
Rules: If your life were a movie, what soundtrack would it have? So, here’s how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player etc) 2. Put it on shuffle and press play. 3. For every question, type the song that’s playing 4. When you go to a new question, press the next button.
So, let's get started.
1. OPENING CREDITS: In You I Live - Daniel Chong Opening Credits...In You I Live. I live for the show, In You I Live (Sorry God). 2. WAKING UP: 绿光 - Stefanie Sun Waking Up to a green light...uh oh. Watch out for the car! 3. FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: 爱情女神 - Jocie Guo Mei Mei First Day of School with a love goddess?! Gosh, shouldn't Falling in Love and First Day of School songs change...? 4. FALLING IN LOVE: I Don't Dance - High School Musical 2 (Debby) I don't dance when I Fall in Love. No way. 5. FIGHT SONG: You're the Same - Ronnie Liew Fight Song...I'm still the same even when I fight! =.='' 6. BREAKING UP: Humuhumunukunukua'Pua'a -HSM2 (Sharpay and Ryan) Breaking Up...Humuhumu what? Break that word up, then I'll understand... 7. PROM: Work This Out - HSM 2 Cast Prom's gotta be perfect right? So Work This Out! 8. LIFE: 一千年以前 - JJ Lin Life one thousand years ago...it's just a music, no vocals so don't be surprised you haven't heard of it before...ROFL. 9. MENTAL BREAKDOWN: 从台北到北京 - Sing Shi Xin Hui Mental Breakdown...definitely. Who would be that insane to go from Taipei to Beijing just for the fun of it? 10. DRIVING: 依然是朋友 - Yu Heng Driving...nothing to say... 11. FLASHBACK: 超快感 - Stefanie Sun Flashback...having a good time, and it gives you a high just thinking about it! :D 12. WEDDING: You Are My Lord - Alicia Lee-Cheong & Ronnie Liew Wedding...having a marriage in church? 13. BIRTH OF CHILD: Din Din Wo (Little Child) - Habib Koite & Bamada Birth of Child...Din Din Wo...suits it perfectly. 14. FINAL BATTLE: Shalom O Israel - Adeline Gan Final Battle's song real good. I like the song, it's real touching. 15. DEATH SCENE: Shadow of the Day - Linkin Park Death Scene's like, real fitting. Fine, I'm a Narcissist okay? When I die, the day will have a shadow...LOL. Hahaz. 16. FUNERAL SONG: I See Grace - Alicia Lee-Cheong I See Grace. I will go to Him when I die. What a fitting Funeral Song! 17. END CREDITS: Despertar - Aisha Duo Gosh, the End Credits sound sad. It's the kind of sample music, so I've never listened to it.
That's my life in a soundtrack.
